Corsets

This was the first project where we could choose what we wanted to make, and started to work more independently.

I have always wanted to learn how to make corsets and this project gave me that opportunity. I was also able to make the one below for the Arts Education School in Chiswick, London.

Concepts in Context

Alice In Wonderland- The White Rabbit.

First major making project of Year 2. A recent graduate designed all the costume for this project. The brief was that a disease had taken over Wonderland, turning everyone mad. Recycling was a big theme of the project and all the costumes were made primarily from calico that was manipulated to suit the character. The White Rabbit was one of the only characters to not have a calico base, with the jacket being made from picnic blankets.

Renaissance to Restoration: Realisation

This was the first making project in year 1, a Renaissance inspired costume, with modern influences.
